While Putin is keeping his paws warm INside, what's going on OUTside?

THE STADIUM
There's more than what meets the eye at the Stadium. When I found it last summer it was our haven - a large dirt track tucked between a flour factory and the Volga. Yes, there is always a dog food smell in the air. And yes, men and boys alike run after me with a beer in one hand and a cigarrette in the other, trying to beat me. I don't know if it's the "girl" part or the "foreign" part that is more facinating.
But now, it is winter and the whole place becomes an ice rink. Hence, winter forces us to take up jumproping. Unless, of course, you can cross country ski.

SOVIETNESS
Andy and I went out one day and tried to capture the remnants of "Soviet" times. The picture above was also a product of this mission. A stadium was usually owned and maintained by a factory. People came to enjoy the wide open space, activity and benches while they played soccer, sun bathed and smoked cigarrettes.
The picture below is only funny because these two trucks have been sitting behind the stadium since the first day I can remember. Both trucks have two tires and are a such dismal sight. The make and model are found everywhere chugging loads up and down the streets. These two must have had a bad stroke of luck.
